The International Genomics Consortium (IGC) and Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGEN) organizations plan and conduct cutting-edge biomedical research that furthers recent achievements in mapping the human genome in order to target treatment and develop cures for cancer, diabetes, and other diseases. The IGC/TGEN headquarters is 170,000 gross square feet of research space, six stories high and 120 feet tall. The state-of-the-art TGEN building is the first of several buildings built on the 24-acre downtown Phoenix Biomedical Center (PBC) at Copper Square. The bioscience research facility provides administrative and research laboratory space for both IGC and TGEN, and also includes additional space for future tenants.
